UV CLEAR COATINGS
Spot, overall gloss, and Matte Coatings offer stark visual impact.
UV CLEAR TEXTURE COATINGS
Spot and overall Soft-touch and Grit (sandpaper) coatings offer tactile effects. Great for reproducing product textures such as flooring or paint finishes. Also used in conjunction with subject matter like earth or brick.
RAISED OR “DOMING” UV CLEAR COATING
Raised UV coatings can be applied to simulate more expensive stocks or draw focus to a specific part of the print work. Ideal for reproducing wood grains. Mimics an embossed or dimensional effect without debossing on the reverse side of the sheet or requiring expensive dies. Offered in matte or gloss.
GLITTER COATINGS
Metallic Glitter Flakes suspended in clear UV resin. Available in various colors, pearlescent or multi colors. Effects are influenced by the inks or toners underneath. Vibrant, dynamic visual appeal. Great for greeting cards, posters, POP displays packaging, folders, brochures, menus and magazine covers. Can be applied Spot and overall.
GLOW-IN-THE-DARK
As the name implies, this coating glows brightly in the dark after exposure to light and possesses great longevity.
SCRATCH-N-SNIFF FRAGRANCE COATINGS
Engage your audience’s sense of smell! Choose from standard “stock” fragrances or allow us to mix and match any desired fragrance to suit your need. Great for food, fruit, cosmetics or even cleaning products, Can be applied Spot and overall.
SCRATCH OFF COATINGS
Applied in any shape or size in silver, gold, black or colors. Great for game pieces, sweepstakes promotions, on and off-premise promotions or mailers. Applied in a secured environment. Usually applied as a spot coating
“CHALKBOARD” COATING
This coating is offered in opaque black and has the look, feel, and properties of a chalkboard. It is receptive to chalk and erasure and is great for children’s books as well as POS or On-Premise displays. Can be applied overall or in specific spot areas.
DRY ERASE COATING
Trade Design offers coatings compatible with dry erase markers. Usually used for wall calendars.
REMOISTEN GLUE COATING
Remoisten glue applied to envelopes or mail return cards in any shape or pattern.
THERMOCHROMIC INKS
Heat-activated colored coatings that turn clear when exposed to heat generated by your body temperature or by the friction of rubbing. Usually applied as a spot coating. Great for security printing or to engage the end user to interact with your message.
PHOTOCHROMIC INKS
Clear ink activated by light to turn color.
MIRAFOIL METALLIC INK
Innovation in coating technology has resulted in improving the brilliance that can be achieved with UV-curable metallic coatings. Applying a thicker film of ink using the screen printing process is key. It can achieve metallic effects that are as striking as foil laminations and can be attained without the expense of foil dies. Our Mirafoil coating is also compatible with 100% oxidizing lithographic inks, allowing printers to print over the coating to achieve millions of faux foil colors.
COLORED INKS
Trade Design offers screen printed opaque pigmented inks. If you require greater opacity than a translucent liho ink can provide, we can help. Great for printing on colored papers. Can be applied spot or overall.
FOIL STAMPING
Foil stamping is the application of metallic foil to paper using a heated die. Produces crisp and durable impressions, an unmatched level of shine, and unrivaled selectivity. Combine foil stamping with embossing/debossing for a striking 3D image.
Converting
Includes die cutting, scoring, perforating, folding, and gluing. Properly executed converting brings your project together in a seamless transition from laying down the ink to bringing the final product to light.
